About Doom's Soundtrack

Overview

Doom features 23 unique songs, composed by Robert Prince^[1]. Within doom.wad, they are stored using Lumps that begin with D_ and end with the code for the level they are used in, such as D_E1M1 for the music for the first level.

Below are the Lump names of the various songs, their titles^[2], and their SHA-256 hashes. These hashes will be important when working with other WAD files, as these songs are often reused by fan authors.

There are no unique Lumps for Episode 4 - it reuses Lumps from the previous episodes. Likewise, doom.wad repeats several songs, so their SHA-256 will be duplicated if they are exact matches (some are not).
