plutonia.wad (The Plutonia Experiment)
Overview
plutonia.wad is one of two IWADs distributed as Final DOOM.
Unlike tnt.wad, this IWAD was made by two brothers, Milo and Dario Casali, in just four short months using a mixture of crazy ideas and levels that had been rejected for tnt.wad[1] . In my opinion, this limited development time does show in a few places, but plutonia.wad is still fully playable - if you like difficult levels that is.
This WAD was intentionally made for "DoomGods", ie, veteran players who wanted a real challenge.[2] It's definitely not beginner friendly and even intermediate players like myself will find the levels taxing or nearly impossible.
The music used by this IWAD was sourced from doom.wad or doom2.wad, and simply copied into the desired slots.
